The probe of the vibration level switch is a vibrating body, which can be in the shape of a tuning fork or a round rod. Piezoelectric devices are generally used to drive and detect the vibration of the probe. When it is not in contact with the material, the vibration probe generates free vibration at the resonant frequency. When the vibration probe contacts the material to be measured, due to the resistance or damping of the material, the amplitude of the vibration probe is significantly reduced or even stopped, and the vibration frequency will also drop significantly. The amplitude and frequency of the output signal of the piezoelectric detection device will also decrease or drop accordingly. This change in the detection signal is detected and analyzed by the circuit and a switch signal is output.

Field application: measuringplastic granules

Installation precautions:

  1. Pay attention to the installation position during installation. The outlet of the junction box must face downward, and the cable fixing head must be locked to prevent rainwater from seeping into the junction box from the outlet when it rains, damaging the internal structure and circuit. 
  2. When multiple sensor bars are installed at the same time, the distance between each switch should be more than 300mm.
  3. Avoid installing near the feed port to reduce the impact damage to the sensor bar during feeding. If the switch must be installed near the feed port, please install a protective plate 200mm above the switch.
  4. Inclined installation is recommended. It is best for the sensor bar to tilt downward and maintain an angle of 20 degrees with the horizontal line. This can increase sensitivity and reduce damage to the switch caused by the impact of feeding.
  5. The sensor bar in the silo cannot be stepped on or bent as a ladder.
  6. When cleaning, it can be rinsed with water and brushed lightly with a brush, but not knocked.
  7. When measuring the viscosity of the medium, it should be installed vertically from the top of the container or tilted downward at a 20-degree angle on the side wall.

Instructions for use:

  • Calibration 

       Put the probe into the object to be measured and determine the alarm position of the probe or place it in the air. Press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds until the green light turns on alternately. Release the button and the setting is completed. The moment when it is placed in the air is the most sensitive.

  • Measurement
  1. When the probe contacts the material, the probe stops vibrating, the red light goes out, and the relay closes; (the state is oppositewhen "NO")
  2. When the material leaves the probe, the probe vibrates again in 1~2 seconds, the red light turns on, and the relay opens. (The state is opposite when "NC") 

     *Note: Pay attention to safety when wiring in and out, and do not wire with power on to prevent short circuits and burn thesubstrate or probe. When working in a dusty environment, the entire machine should be kept sealed.
